PTV - Confession

ConfessionNow, after years abroad, searching for myself and what I want to be.  I’ve decided I would start small.  I would start telling people again that I want to be an artist.  This website is my silent cyberscream.

That’s what I had say.  Now the news.  I read this article in the Gotham Gazette, “How to make it in NYC as an artist.”

The articles list eight steps to “making it as an artist.”  After reading I had the strange feeling that those steps could apply to just about every career.

Here they are:

1. Never Get Sick

2. Don’t Be Born Abroad

3. Lower Expectations

4. Make Sacrifices

5. Learn To Love Inadequate, Overpriced Spaces

6. Focus On Business and Politics

7. Be Perfect

8. Have Hope

So there you have it.  Some of the rules apply more to NYC than others but in general, during my lonely, wandering and rambling, I’ve found that those rules apply to success in just about any endeavor.  What you think?
