Sipping coffee overlooking the Tennessee

Across the riverI wasn’t sure if I had been there before, seen this place in my youth but I knew the view and the river was registered somewhere in my mind.

I thought about the view and surmised that I hadn’t seen it before. I thought about the long blue bridge that spanned the river and decided it wasn’t that either. Then I thought about the river.

Yes! It was the river. It was an old Alabama song that I’d heard as a kid. I couldn’t remember all the words to the song so I got a little help from lyricfreaks.com. Have a look at some of my pictures from my Old and Newvisit to the Hunter Museum and the Tennessee river.

As opposed to walking into the mountains “walking hand in hand” with my woman I would probably walk towards the mix of old and new modern art museum with the same feeling and wonder of why I ever roamed.

Cybershots from the Tennessee River

Tennessee River

I was born across the river in the mountains where I call home.
Lord, times were good there. dont know why I ever roamed.
Chorus:
Oh, tennessee river and a mountain man, we get together anytime we can.
Oh, tennessee river and a mountain man, we play together in mother natures
Band.

Me and my womans done made our plans on the tennessee river, walkin hand in
Hand.
Gonna raise a family, lord settle down where peace and love can still be
Found.

Chorus

Oh, tennessee river.
