Cornwall cows

CowsA few weeks ago I took a short drive around Cornwall. Cornwall is in the South West of England. To be honest I had vaguely heard of Cornwall before setting out to discover that part of England.

What did I discover? Well not much. I saw mile after mile of roads surrounded by giant hedged walls. The countryside looked beautiful when I would get an occasional glimpse while driving down a hill but the famed green fields were really hard to see while driving. Someday I’ll find out why all the roadways are behind shrubbery.

I drove to Land’s End, I saw the Tate at St Ives and I spent the night in Dartmouth. The trashy city of Newquay left an impression as did the cows that watched me cook my dinner every night in front of my Shepherd’s Hut. Follow that link to see a picture of what a Shepherd’s Hut looks like or click on the picture of my painting to get a better idea of what my bovine friends did while I BBQed my evening dinner.

Strangely their eyes reminded me of sitting in a meeting with bored professionals.
