I’m in Oz

Map of Oz I was exploring my new city a couple of days.  I was on a walkabout.  I saw the world famous opera,  I saw the bay and the bridge.

I think I must of walked miles on the first day.  It actually took me a couple of days to fully realize that I’m here.  This place, like life, is full of surprises.  It has literally surprised me to the core of my being.

Its strange that I’ve had to come so far to essentially return to a simpler, saner version of myself.   Spending so much time alone, far from those you know and who know you has given me time to think.   Thinking.

I like this place.  The city is full of dream sequence paintings. Its full of parks and art and quotes.  Its full of friendly faces and colors.  Its full of life.  Everyday I walk the streets I feel alive again.

Memories fill my mind as I wander.  I think of the good, the bad and the joys that make the next day worth looking forward to.  But since I’m here alone I need to share it with someone.

Experience is great but somewhere it feels meaningless unless its shared.  Unless you convey what you’ve seen and felt to someone else.  If you don’t its almost as if it hasn’t happened.  Or more sharing it with someone is validation that it has happened.

As I walked I saw a map of the country of where I am.  Its huge.  Its far.  I’m in Oz.

Check back for the updates.
